Publication of the New Edition of the ISO 15189:2022 - Medical laboratories — Requirements for quality and competence.
ISO 15189:2022 “Medical Laboratories – Requirements for quality and competence” has been published on 12th December 2022.
ENAS is committed to follow the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) resolution in indorsing a three-year transition period to adopt this new edition of the standard.
Therefore, all medical laboratories, accredited by ENAS against ISO 15189:2012 shall be assessed and accredited to ISO 15189:2022 within specified transition period.
More details will follow, in the next few weeks of ENAS guidance for transition plan of Medical Laboratories currently accredited under ISO 15189:2012 and the date to start assessments and accepting Applications according to the new edition of the Standard.
